hi guys, i am relatively new to this forum (a couple of weeks) and just as new to the wonders of flashlights (particularly led's) i can't even remember what spurred me to search google for led flashlights.

after a little research i purchased a lightwave 2100 from flashlights 4 less..... wow i was enamoured by the pretty white lights..... pretty. not only are the lights white and uniform through the life of the batteries but they last longer too? coool! i must get a headlamp to compliment my new shiney toy..errr. tool. two days later i purchased a lightwave illuminator from brightguys. if i had been more thorough with brock's great links i probably would have bought a different headlamp for hands-free, long-lastin, bright-white lighting.... pretty.

the illuminator made me look like a nutty urban miner but, hey that's the price for longlasting, white light. strangly enough i still felt a need. i had an old silver minimag that i used here and there laying about and read the glowing review (no pun intended(no really))from the lightsite of the opalec drop in. damn it all to hell!!! within the space of a week of buying the first lightwave i was now the proud owner of three led lights.

for some strange reason i would keep visiting brocks link page and spiral out from there to the candle forum, to different review sites, lurking, lurking.... COUNTY COMM HAS THE CMG INFINITY ULTRA US GOVERNMENT EDITION WITH TYPE III HARD ANODIZING FOR $15!!!!! son of a b!tch.... My other flash lights and electronics all use AA's a pocket light that uses the same batteries with a regulator to keep that light nice and bright (and pretty)why not? but wait... county comm has the arc ls as well (CRAP! sold out). ooooh oooh, county comm has the surefire adapter (kl1) on sale!! (but no e2e).

ahh hell let me cut to the chase because this is getting a lttle long winded. in the space of two weeks i am in possesion of a lightwave 2100 and illuminator, an opalec for my mini, and a cmg ultra for my pocket. also in my possesion is a box of surefire c123 batteries. what would i need those for you may ask? why silly it's for the surefire e2e ha i ordered from tactical flashlights (by the way i ordered the batteries and spare light assembly from bright guys and the red filter and kl1 from tactical warehouse the next day and got them before the e2e which i guess i should receive tommorrow seeing as tactical flashlights didn't give me a tracking number).

ARRGGHH! no more lights.... but damn that mclux looks pretty!!!!

Welcome to the asylum. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Good luck finding a McLux, it's probably the most sought after light on the CPF and there aren't very many.

Hi Mateo,

Welcome to the world of poor people with flashlights. Sounds like you'll fit right in here. The tips and information here are endless, and you'll most likely learn (and spend) more on flashlights than you ever thought possible.
