New here, Question on charger IMAXB5

Hi guys, recently i purchased a 6P as my first sure fire torch and got a Deree drop in for it.

Previously i was playing with RC heli and got this IMAX B5 charger lying around. I am wondering is there anyway to make use of my IMAX B5 charger so that i can use it to charge RCR123 battery? Dun wanna see the charger go to waste here.

It can charge up to 5 Cell LIPO/ION with charger rate of 0.1A to 5A.

Is there anyone that can show me how to make use of this charger? :shrug:

Hello Akababy,

Welcome to CPF.

When charging Li-Ion cells, a good charge rate is 0.7C. If your R-CR123 cells have a capacity of 600 mAh, this would mean charging at 0.42 amps. You can put the capacity of the cell into the charger as a safety back up. This means that the charger would terminate the charge either upon fully charging the cell, or when the battery capacity has been put into the cell.

thanks for the tips, but the thing is i still haven get the rig up to charge RCR123.

Got no idea what i need to wire it so that i can charge those RCR123 haha.

Anyone got any experience in rigging their Heli lipo charger to charge RCR123?
