New lanyard for Fenix L2D?

I bought an L2D a couple months back and the lanyard is starting to fray. I was lazy and only had it through one of the holes in the flashlight though, so I'm sure that didn't help. I was reading posts on here and I see some people say that the string on the lanyard that comes with the light is too weak to handle the weight of the flashlight.
Is there a better lanyard I can buy that would still fit through the holes? I would like to still be able to tail stand the light.

I use a small split ring through the hole, then I put a home made paracord lanyard on. The options of your home made lanyard are endless.

I have a P3D but I think the tailcap has the same hole pattern. There are two small holes and a cut-out crescent between them.

If you get the correct size split ring it will go through one of the holes and can be adjusted so the other side will fit into the crescent and allow the light to tail stand.
