For those of you interested in LED bike lights, check this one out: http://www.bumm.de/index-e.html?docu/193e.htm . Apart from the LED, its main feature is that it will be street legal in Germany.

If you're also interested in non-LED bike lights, take a look at the other stuff listed under 'Innovations'. Personally, I like the retro and the Big Bang. Unfortunately, the former is only halogen and the latter will sell around 650 Euros :-((((

thanks for the info!

Always nice to see some new technology from B&M. Now I find myself wondering how it compares to stuff I'm familiar with, such as the Lumotec headlight. Without more info, I'm going to assume that it's similar, since it meets German regulations.

This would imply that it's using 2 to 3 watts of power, which makes me wonder:
1. how does it get the heat out of the led? There's no apparent heatsinking.
2. what sort of battery does it use? Considering the cost of the battery and charger (80 euros!), I'm going to guess that it is lithium.

interesting stuff, regardless. 🙂
