I just got a Fenix PD-30, and it revived the flashaholism in me. I promptly ordered a Maratac AAA (en route) and sent my Proton in to be fixed. I still need more, the addiction is strong. So I'm looking for another light to round out my collection. I'm not sure exactly what I want, but I'd like something ideally for less than $200 and preferably $150 or less. The Jetbeam RRT-0 has caught my attention.

My collection:
Surefire 6P
Surefire M6 (well, my dad kinda took that one from me)
Fenix PD-30
Maratac AAA
Paklight
Photon Proton (original model)
Photon Freedom Micro (needs to be sent in too)
Dorcy 3AAA with Luxeon
MiniMag
MiniMag with NiteIze assembly
2D Mag

I'm sure that there are others, but nothing significant. What would you guys recommed that I go with? Thanks

Your lacking a LED thrower and a pretty bright LED light. Thrunite Catapult should do both pretty well. Bright and also throws pretty far.

The new Titanium Innovations "IlluminaTi" from Battery Junction could be an interesting add. Based on a Maratac AAA style but made of Ti with an XP-G led.
The Jetbeam RRT-0 has caught my attention too...

You could turn that Mag into a incan hotwire beast, maybe something like a ROP since you "lost" your M6

I've actually been considering the ROP for a little while, I might jsut do that on my own and get another light for Christmas (in typical CPF fashion). A high power LED thrower does sound interesting. But then so do some pocket rockets.

I forgot to mention that I kind of want to stay away from rechargables for now.

Your dad stole the M6 from under your nose? :eek:oo:
Good reason to get a thrower now. ;)

RRT-1, RRT-2 or the Catapult.

I think the M1X is at the top of my list right now. I really would love an RRT-0, but all of my lights are low-medium output. Even though they'd probably get the most use, I want something different right now, something with a wow factor. Are there any other comparable lights out there that are compatible with 123's that I should check out?

Ehh my dad's an old man, I'll let him have his fun with the M6 and take it back every once in a while.

I recommend you consider the Mag-LED 2D Rebel for a powerful LED thrower option. It is around $30 I believe and would go nicely with an extreme high output LED light like the M1X.

How about a SureFire LX2? Nice bright thrower on high, nice useable output on low, and one of the best user interfaces in the business.

How about a kick-@$$ single-cell CR123 light?

Surefire E1B, L1, or Novatac 120P.

All come with clips. Would make excellent EDC lights. Save your Maratac for mundane chores. Pull out one of the above for when you need a bit more output.

You may consider Nitecore EX10 / PD10, both excellent flashlights for EDC...

Two suggestions, although unregulated, still would make nice novelty gifts for xmas.

Led Lenser Colour Recon torch (3 x High intensity white LED's, 1 Red, 1 Blue and 1 Green high quality LED, 50 hours run time).

Led Lenser Laser Light ( 5 high quality white LED's,1 high quality red laser pointer LED, 50 hours run time).

If you're going for pocket rockets, the Dereelight C2H is a good option. I think that if you put the Javelin head on, it can take P60 drop-ins. 200+ lumens in a tiny little package :D

Edit: I lied. It's not the C2H...it's the Javelin shorty.
