Perhaps I missed this, but with all the engraving that needs to be done to each of the first 100 hosts, does anybody know when these are expected to be sent out?

The strange thing is I never got an e-mail letting me know they were in stock. I filled out the request, and even got the confirmation e-mail. :shrug:

I just stopped by this thread earlier and got really lucky.
Now that I snagged one I do have to wonder if this body will have even better contact with the module than Surefire's. I assume with no glass that heat will be able to escape out the front a tiny bit better than we are used to.

One of the traditional spots for heat to escape was where the rim of the module around the optic touched the bezel but now there is a gasket there so that's probably not going to transfer heat. I'm sure the body fit is going to be nice and tight so heat can be transferred that way.
Might be the optimum host for his MC-E modules! Now starts the wait to see if I am even a little bit right in my pondering,

It should be a nice light. I got to handle the prototype that Gene brought to the SHOT show party.
Me too but sadly the wrong place at the wrong time. Was hoping I would get a ding on the iPhone and be able to order as soon as I got the in stock notification.
I'm sure the MD2 is far too heavy, or slippery, or SOMETHING!...anyone want to sell theirs yet? :naughty:

CRAP! I just saw this thread. I'm too late. ARGH. Hmmm, do you think we could get him to make some Type III HA. That would ROCK. Now just so I'm clear on this, its is actually MANUFACTURED in the USA or merely assemmbled?
