I am new, just joined,,.... Not a collector...l just looking for help identifying an old eveready....thanks in advance....
Bought a box full of vintage items at a estate auction in Iowa and this was in it.... Looks old and in real nice con

What bulb would this example use..... from its length I would guess it's a 3 cell

I don't know much about those. Beautiful torch tho' man.
Take everything in this post with a grain of salt.
It looks to be around 1913-18-ish
2602 2604 or something like that.

I don't know if it's my search engine bias, but any image with that riveted brand plate comes from this worthpoint site, and they all seem to fall right around the year 1900.

Also, I cannot account for the veracity of that site, as specifically searching up the same keywords shows us a light with a very different switch mechanism.

I believe that's a model 2612 from 1912-1914. Any earlier dates stamped on it would be patent dates.

If they don't see any value in it but $, then it best they don't keep it. IMO
Let them sell it to someone who does value it for what it is, an historic functional piece of art.

I kind of like the cold steel walking sticks, kinda wanna hollow one out and stick 2×AA guts in there and pot the head and other parts for impact.
