Hi all. Just joined a short while ago and have been reading, reading reading. Based upon that reading, I purchased a few lights in order to get a taste of each battery type (Fenix P2d, LOD, EO1 and a Romisen RC-H3). What a blast! It is amazing what these little lights can do.

I am interested in buying an EDC light and here are my criteria in descending order of importance:

1. CR123 battery
2. Pocket clip
3. Small, small, small
4. Prefer 2-3 modes; no strobe
5. Brightness over runtime
6. Clicky, but would accept a twisty if I had to

I am presently looking at the Nitecore EX10 and the Lumapower Incendio. Please give me any/all suggestions, including these 2 if you think they will work. Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Frank A.

The EX10 would be small and will fit all the criteria except the pocket clip one. Similar for the Incendio. The Nitecore Extreme will fit all criteria except small size. I think you would have to drop one of the criteria.

I'm thinking since you already have the P2D, you might want to save up for something more different.

I think those two lights are likely the top of the list based upon your criteria. Since you have a P2D incoming, the next in line would be an Olight. If you feel like paying you could buy a Surefire L1 E1E or E1B. Bigger CR123 lights would be an HDS Ra (clickie or in a month or so twisty) or maybe a Spartanian II. Going beyond that you get into custom parts, and modifications to get a real wow light.

SOunds like an Ex10 would indeed be right up your alley but Iit seems like if you buy the smaller body for your p2d than you have a p1d which kinda makes it unnecessary.

The Nitecore EX10 is your best choice IMO. Pocket clips are on the way for these. Incendio is not as bright and has a greenish tint which I believe is due to the glow in the dark O ring in the bezel. While I liked the Incendio at first and still plan on keeping it for it's forward clicky function and small size I would rate it about 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 and the Nitecore EX10 about a 9 or 10 on the same scale - 10 of course being the best. :welcome:

Since you already have the P2D...why don`t you save up and buy something noticably more powerfull...maybe something using a p7 bulb? $200 will get you a Wolfeyes Sniper P7 for example...probably many others coming out soon.

How bout a NovaTac 120P. Its not quite as bright as the EX 10 but the beam is very nice. Not quite as small as the EX 10 either, but very easy to carry with the pocket clip (EDC).
