So you want the skinny on the cutting edge. I know I have the fidgets over that groovy new light just over the next hill and can't wait for pics and specs. How do you proceed?
What I do: I go thru agents in the field, who are close to the manufacturer and speak the language.
In other words: I ask people who are in a position to know and I make it clear and bright that I am a consumer and not a competitor.
How do you "step into the future" of mobile lighting? What aggressive searching techniques to you use. Checking in @ CPF works. Do you haunt the terrific foreign flashlight/gear forums? Do have friends who are industry insiders? Is it ethical to push for officially unreleased info?
Is new model information leakage simply another marketing model? Or, is it a cry for input/help from consumers in order for the manufacturer/vendor to amend the product or gauge the market?
