What's neat to me is that the bouncing what dots in the intro look exactly like LED beam-shots. Pretty slick.
I have had the Pal lights for a long time. It is my wife's favorite light. I have let her try E1e, lambda ill-pill, Arc-LS, and Arc AAA. She won't give up the Pal. She likes the constant on feature on her nightstand. She likes the light level for her nightly bathroom trips. She uses it every day, and I haven't changed the battery in months. With the lens on the front, the throw isn't bad. I think it is a really good light for the money.

They donated one of all their product line for me to take to the orphanage in Bulgaria. I just got back from adopting a little girl from Stara Zagora. I did not say anything before for fear of appearing to be hitting up other mfg. They also are pretty much like Arc and Eternalight for standing behind their product line....even when I screwed it up!

What I NEVER understand is why website designers utilize a FLASH only entry page like is on this Pallight site.
I keep my Active X controls turned off for normal web surfing, because of this, Flash won't work unless I change the security settings or add the site manually to the trusted site list.
It is much safer to keep Active X turned off, because any malicious idiot with even moderate hacking abilities can do all sorts of things with a short routine that can sneak through in an email or website or even a little rotating banner ad or pop-up on a website.
No telling how much businesses these places lose with this practice.
If they are going to use a Flash intro (a time and bandwidth waster as far as I'm concerned) they should at least have a little text link for skipping the flash and going to a page that will let you navigate the site.

I use Zone Alarm Pro and AdSubtract Pro to help with these things.

I recently purchased 12 of the PALight Survival models for gifts. One was "Dead On Arrival" out of the box. I also was interested in getting several of the red/white signal cones that were not offered with mine.
I emailed James at PALights.com and he told me to send the defective light back, that he would replace it and would also send me the cones for the lights I had just purchased.
I just have to add to several positive comments I've already read here about PALights. These folks stand behind their product (it's a solid light that has it's place in your collection!) and are excellent with customer service! It's one of those "word of mouth/actual experience" things that are definitely worth passing on!
As another member posted, my wife will not give up her PALight on the nightstand. I also have offered her some of my more expensive "toys", but she will not have another! (Got to keep "interested", so I can buy more!)
