I'm too lazy to check to see if this has been addressed before, but here goes:

Some of you may own the improved Photon 3 with the battery tie-down strap and the microswitch for the back button. According to the LED Museum, the tie-down strap is to improve shelf battery loss and to hold the battery down in case of lost cover.

This, however, has a problem: the battery change is gruesome. It took me a few minutes to get the batteries out, and that included bending the microprocessor out a bit. Has anyone got this problem, and how do I make my battery change look less hazardous? Thanks.

The battery strap is offset,so I usually just take a pen or a small screwdriver and press on the very edge of the battery that sticks out behind the strap. This causes the opposite side of the battery to pop up and it slides right out.The next one is easy.I did the same thing you did to your light on my first battery changes until I figured it out.
