Mine should be here tomorrow according to ups tracking. I was right there with ya streetmaster, I almost canceled my order quite a few times but held off. I just hope it was worth the wait.

I was thinking more in the way of white-wall shots. I have a new camera and it's got loads of settings I need to learn. Any of you experienced guys have any tips as to exposure and white balance settings? ISO Speed? I'm thinking maybe I'll just have to tinker with it, or just stick to regular flashlight porn pics:devil:
 
I've gone for the EDC Executive. :paypal:

Its going to be used on low or near low most of the time. I expect its a bit more floody than the other models. And the price was better on the EDC Exec. :sssh:
 
Make sure you have some good batteries on hand. I got out of the CR123 primary business about 2 yrs ago and have been running rechargeable in RCR or AA format. Well I still have about 2 doz primary CR123s left and wanted to do a primary runtime on the 170cn. I already did some RCR runtimes over on Ra Part 8.

Thought I should check out the batteries on my ZTS first though.

6 out of 6 Chinese unused batteries read at or below 40% (mostly the old blue and yellow Chinese Battery Station (BS) cells and one Tactical ops cell) All of the BS cells had tested at 100% back when the troubles caused BS to switch to American supplier. (I got rid of low readers at that time)

8 out of 8 American CR123s tested at 100% (Mix of SF, Energizer and Sanyo)

I threw two of the Battery Station cells into the Ra. 1st one gave weird blinking when trying to activate Max. But then operated normally. After approx 10 min I realized I forgot to start the stopwatch. So I took it out and tried the other. Again with the weird blinking when switching to max, its been going for 25 min now without a drop. Will report back at end of run.

End of run: 43min on BS Chinese cell that read inconsistent 20% to 40% on ZTS tester.

Note: BS now uses high quality American cells that have all blue label

I got some advice once saying you should use ISO 100, white balance daylight, and 1 second shutter speed. I forget the traditional distance, but I assume around a meter is a good thing. PS, thats for indoor shots.

You guyses getting brand new flickys that don't clicker had better have lots of pictures and beam shots! :twothumbs

Thanks! I'll give those a try when I get the light. I'm hoping to get it Saturday.

In it they list the item I ordered as a: HDS Ra Clicky EDC 120E
I'm sure it's the same thing as the EDC Exec.
Shipping was a litle over 9 bucks! :green:

Now it's time to...........Continue waiting. :candle:

Just ordered an EDC Executive from Unique Titanium. I love my NT 120P and I have 3 HDS EDC's, but being anxious to the new RA clicky I could'nt resist. 😀

Over 9 bucks for shipping? That's a little too much. Is that UPS? Gotta be. At UT, USPS Priority (2 or 3 days) was only $5.80. I got a shipping notice 2 hours after I placed the order. Amazing. But you're probably getting a "free" holder full of batteries included too.:huh: (I do like those battery caddys, gonna miss that:mecry🙂

It either has shipped or going to ship the day that number was issued. It should be a delivery confirmation number that you can "track" your package with. I use the term "track" loosely, because the info provided by USPS is very slowly updated. It's how I know mine left Alabama last night:party:

Yes, over $9 for shipping. It appears that Battery Station will not ship anything of value without adding insurance. They don't want to take the hit, if a package gets lost. So we don't have a choice to just pay the $5.80 USPS Priority Mail rate with Delivery Confirmation sticker, without the added insurance fee. Our USPS is very reliable, and I have never heard of anybody with an MIA package. In addition, there was a time when freebies were included in every HDS and NovaTac shipments, without the insurance tacked on. :devil:

So now you are paying for most of the cost of the FREE 4 cells and caddy. These FREE items are no longer FREE, are they? :shakehead
