I'm going to repeat test using black AW when my current order will arrive and compare results. Moreover such comparision is the main aim of my tests. :candle:

Sounds good - I look forward to seeing what the difference is between the black label and the red IMR batteries in the Ra. Thanks for posting these tests.

Under what conditions are you seeing this? I noticed some flickering in the beam while sitting in front of my computer at the lowest levels, but in a completely dark room there was no flickering. I think its a Moire or Interference pattern being generated by the interaction the frequency of the computer monitor and the PWM of the light. Sort of like what happens when you try to film a TV screen.

Maybe I should have said it started blinking out of control when I was at burst/high level. Exactly the same problem I stated the last time. I was also using a new battery to test it. Problem started after I replaced the weak battery.

It doesn't flicker at the lowest levels for me. Perfect almost. Looks like the hard reset didn't fix the issue. Maybe I can also send the 140CEgt for a tune up or something.

The results of runtime test for 100wwCn powered by primary Duracell Ultra (best before Mar 2018) are following:

Level 21 - 01:20:48
Level 20 - 01:33:56 (?)
Level 19 - 01:42:00 (?)

Drops of output between once a minute blinks are detected inconviniently without a luxmeter. :shakehead

P.S. I'm still waiting black labeled AW's...

My browser does not support the customization on Ra lights website.

Am, I correct in seeing that the lowest price warm white option is $154 + shipping?

Yes.

Your custom flashlight will have the following features:

* LED: 100 lumen, warm white (~4000°K), narrower beam pattern
* Bezel: Crenelated, stainless steel, silver
* Clip: Silver
* Button: Flush
* Operation: Executive

Custom Ra Clicky: $154.00 (Part number: Cc100nwwCssSFE)

I was at work, cannot install another browser.

Beans, sorry, why did the question warrant attitude? I was just trying to confirm the pricing.

I had hoped to add a warm white emitter to the $110 Ra CLicky, hence my disappointment.

That's all.

EDIT: Thanks jagr!

Sorry, did not intend to convey an attitude.

I thought you were implying from your shaking head that HDS was at fault for your browser issue.

:grouphug:

Cool, just a simple mis-understanding.

:thumbsup:

I had not checked all this time and had assumed you could get a warm white clicky for close to $100.

Darn it!

:mecry:

I am having trouble viewing the custom order page on RA's website. It says error on page. I am trying to order another clicky. Is the custom service still available?

You have problem with your browser settings probably. Ralights.com works properly just now.

Customization of any sort is not available on the EDC models (aka the ones around $100). So even something as simple as a black clip instead of silver is only available on the $150+ models.

Ok, well blinking and flickering are two completely different problems so it pays to be precise in order to diagnose the problem. Could you report exactly what it is doing. "blinking out of control" could mean it switches to tactical strobe or it blinks twice and drops one level depending on the person reporting.

Did you switch battery types? aka primary to rechargeable, and did you wait a couple minutes between the switch.

It sounds like a battery detect problem or a contact problem. Before sending it back to RA, I would try a brand new 2019 dtd USA made CR123, and also clean the contacts.

I apologize that this sounds like I'm the Microsoft help desk asking if the computer is plugged in and having you tried rebooting, but ya got to cover the basics first :crazy:

Callmaster, I think I told you when you first described your problems when using burst that I had the same problems with my 140C. Now what you say about the issue going away as the battery is used sounds exactly like mine. That is just like my first Clicky. When activating burst does it flicker for 4 or 5 seconds then hold the burst level for the remaining time? Other times does it just blink two or three times and then go to burst? That's what mine did. Then after some time on the battery the problems would go away. When I had to put in a new battery the same problems would come back.

Thank you for the responses so far. I've covered all the basics. I've only been using USA made CR123 primary batteries (surefire, duracell ultra). The contacts are clean. I switched the batteries immediately.

The problem is similar to prime77's problem. The first time it happened, it started blinking anywhere from 4-9 seconds then it would hold the burst. After a few seconds, it would drop a level. Sometimes, just the 4-9 second blink/flicker then to burst. Starts out blinking, then it flickers, then it blinks again. It's just pretty annoying. I've only had the problem once so I hope it does go away after using the battery for a bit. Still rather hesitant to send it back (it'll cost me quite abit:shakehead)

😱 😱 Can't seem to get my username and password to work in the classifieds section of the forum. Do you need to set up a new password for each subweb? 😱 😱

Anyways, I have a spare Ra Clicky Tactical (140 lumens) with black clip and flush tail cap, and spare raised tailcap battery tube. Each now 10 days old. Absolutely mint condition. Never left my desk. Looking for $150 plus shipping. Superceded by my Ra Clicky 170T (I don't have a need for more than one Ra Clicky light.

I'm sending both me lights back to Henry. He can check out the 140Cgt that fell and upgrade the firmware. And he can fix the 170Cn thats misbehaving. Any idea how long it takes to get the lights back from repair, etc?

How dare you call yourself a flashoholic. :poke:
Okay, convince me, 'cos I just don't get it. I'm a newbie here, and I found the forums through Google whilst researching to find the perfect (reletively speeking) EDC light. I knew that I wanted a thrower, and a compact form using CR123s. It was a replacement for a Gladius which is just a little too big to EDC. And inevitably I settled on the Novatac 120 series flashlights. Through reading forums elevated my thinking and bought a Ra Clicky Tactical instead (about 10 days ago). Subsequent to that I bought a Ra Clicky Tactical 170 also, and on the back of the 'crack/easter egg' thread, I also bought a Novatac 120E and programmed it.

So the crux of the matter is this...
Why would I need to Ra Clicky's? I can see that you might want a spare incase you're favourite EDC is lost. The Ra Clicky is that good and EDCing the Novatac is a slightly poorer experience. It is an excellent light and functions perfectly, but you always know when holding it that there is something better out there. So I can see the redundancy arguement. I've bought it already. It's brand new. Why not keep it just in case the 170 is lost or broken.

But why do you guys have 2 or 3 EDCs that are essentially the same light?
