If you look at the level charts, you can figure out the approximate pattern of levels. It looks like the 200 will use the same level program as the 140 with one additional upper level (My math comes out to about 199lm). Or, perhaps, a low level was eliminated. I hope not. I'll let you know when mine arrives. 😀

The 200 will have 24 levels not 23 like the 140's or the 170's. Looks like there will be no loss of levels, just a greater dynamic range for the best CR123 light on the planet!

Dang, I just ordered a custom 170T and all this talk about the 200 is making wish I would have waited for a 200. I recently joined this forum and I'm not sure I can afford to keep logging on.

I have 3 170T's and I think that you will love yours!

Hi there just a few little questions, when you shake your light can you people hear the tailcap switch making a "rattling" noise? Also sometimes my ra executive doesnt seem to register some of the clicks is this normal?

Thanks

My 140ct has both of these issues. The rattle is very quiet, and if you hold hte rubber boot down until you start to feel resistance and shake mine doesn't rattle anymore. It appears to be the switch not anything in the battery compartment.

The rattling doesn't bother me, but the intermittent switching is causing me all sorts of grief in programming it. I'm going to rig it up in a test fixture this weekend and see if I can program it. I'm pretty sure it's going to go back to Henry for fixing but I'm growing more attached to it by the day and it probably won't go back until I purchase a WW or decide not to.

Part 5

Is the Ra 200 going to be limited?

B/c I plan to get one, but not now.

They are currently very limited. However, look back to when the 170's were limited. Advancing technology of light efficiency shows that the 200's will eventually become commonplace. Once the 170's were run by raffle, and only a select few own them. Now, they are the third most owned type of clicky (only the 140-CGT and 140T/CN have more I believe). As time went on, they became more available. This will most certainly be the case with the 200's.

Well, I decided to finally install the clip on my 170cn. I've been carrying it for 3 days and I have to day, the function of the clip is very good.

It could be a little stiffer but not much more. The "feel" of the light with the clip is not as bad as I thought it would be.

It worked well clipped on a cap last night too.

As for the looks, well.................................

I am going to have an XP-E R2 5000K put into my Ra clicky EDC Exec.

Neither I nor the modder are sure if it will work or not.

Does any of the Ra guru's on this thread care to give me predictions?

Not sure what the beam will look like but I hope it to be close to the Seoul beam.

I know the XR-E would look awful in the Seoul reflector, so it's out of the running!

If this works out I ought to gain a brighter light and have a warmer tint.
What say you?

I would recommend using K2, Cree not perform well with short reflector.

When the 200's become commonplace, I hope there will be something a hell of a lot brighter out :poke:

If we take the alternating scale, then by then we will be seeing Ra 240CNs and maybe into the future, Ra 280C's... :faint:

That is definitely something to look forward to. Ahh, the simple pleasures in life 😗

No rattling with my Ra EDC Exec. Also, all clicks seem to register. I don't believe that your light should rattle, it is sick.
