New Ra Lights products (Part 5)

Well, I decided to finally install the clip on my 170cn. I've been carrying it for 3 days and I have to day, the function of the clip is very good.

It could be a little stiffer but not much more. The "feel" of the light with the clip is not as bad as I thought it would be.

It worked well clipped on a cap last night too.

As for the looks, well.................................

after all my whining about the clip i too broke down and installed the black clip on my EDC E. i left for work the other day and forgot it was clipped in my front pocket where it stayed secure all day.
i've left the clip in place now for a week and honestly it has grown on me. the light has become handier for sure and it really does'nt obstruct the function of the light while in the hand.
the light itself is a little heavy when clipped to a cap but it does the job all the same.

I've been using the stock Ra clip on the belt of my jeans since I havn't found a decent holster yet. The clip is growing on me as well.

I tried the clip for a couple of days no go,it's now part of a land fill site

I did however wave it off when the bin man collected it,

I am going to have an XP-E R2 5000K put into my Ra clicky EDC Exec.

Neither I nor the modder are sure if it will work or not.

Does any of the Ra guru's on this thread care to give me predictions?

Not sure what the beam will look like but I hope it to be close to the Seoul beam.

I know the XR-E would look awful in the Seoul reflector, so it's out of the running!

If this works out I ought to gain a brighter light and have a warmer tint.
What say you?

Only 1 comment so far but I did find a thread where someone put a XP-E into a different flashlight that used a seoul to start with. It didn't look bad! I think it got a bit more floody but that was all.
I like flood in an EDC!

Don't get me wrong, it's not a great clip, but it does work well for clipping onto my belt, which other clip designs fail at. I'd never consider it for pocket clipping. It has enough size that it reaches around a thick leather belt and grabs quite well.

Like so many other things, it has a use, it's just a matter of finding it!

My RA Clicky Clip lasted less then a day. The light is geared towards our war fighters and this clip would be great under those conditions.

A soldier could always turn the clip around and sharpen the end and have a close quarters dagger. Good info for those situations where they might have to escape from some kind of captive situation. Bit of a stretch but it is a use.

I absolutely hate the chrome clip, but like some of the others I have grown to not mind the black one. I am currently running a black clip on my 120EDC-E, but have an Arc4+ clip on my 140CT that I love.

My warmie Clicky has one of Chips Ti clips and screws on it's way, currently clipless until it get here.

I've also heard of these being used for a swimming pool diving board.

As one who decided not to own a clickie, I'll say that the clip was perhaps the straw that broke the camel's back. I'll stick with my twisty for the time being.

I'm with you on the bright chrome clip. I might like it if it were black. BTW, I have been looking all over for an Arc4+ clip, but haven't had any luck. Where do you think I might get one?

I ordered a 170t with a black clip. Don't know if it will sway me either way but I'm going to find out.

the chrome clip is definately out.... clip design aside it really makes the Ra look cheap. i tried it on my EDC E once for about 2 minutes and just could'nt get there. i actually broke it trying to mod it but no big deal.
the black one kinda blends into the light. it's still ugly but it does work.

As for the Arc4+ clip, I purchased mine from lighthound awhile back. Unfortunately I believe they are all gone :mecry: I tried to order another a week later onlt to find they were out of stock. Only chance will be finding one used on the forum for sale.

They were a great clip option, and you couldn't beat the price!

Yes, I have looked for the Arc4+ clip at Lighthound and it's not there. I did see one for sale on the marketplace, but it didn't seem right. Also I don't believe that I can buy just a black clip from HDS at Ra Lights either. Oh well.

Anybody else have problems with the Ra custimization page? It worked he other day when the 200s were out but I can't get it to work in Firefox or Explorer now.
