Hi,

Time for my first stainless steel torch! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This is not a super bright mega performance item. But a far more useful long running torch that uses common cheap 'AA' batteries.

I'm pretty impressed with it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now this Stainless version appears to have been a limited run only. But the good news is that the aluminium one will soon be available. More details in the review.

See it here :- www.cones-stuff.co.uk

Thanks

Mark

I wish I hadn't looked at your review and your excellent photography, Mark. Now I want to buy one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mark,
Can you throw a NiMH rechargable in the Fenix and let us know the current draw? I am trying to get an idea how hard the Luxeon is being driven and if it is compatible with NiMH.

Just tried it with four different. Recently charged (Two days ago) 2300mAh NiMh Cells.

P.S. Offload battery voltage was 1.343 Volts

It averages out to about 218mA current draw.
I measure 452 Lux @ 1m with these cells. So no loss in performance! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

cy,

I think you may struggle to find one as they are no longer in production. Perhaps ask around. I've already been asked if I want to sell mine. But I like it too much at the moment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Can you take a pic of one in hand? I always like seeing pictures that show real life scale.

Mark,

I will do next time I get the camera out. I hate doing in hand shots because getting the camera, hand and lighting in position is a pain! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Also the size of peoples hands can be misleading. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks

3.7" is almost as long as my Nuwai 2xAAA .5w light (4.5"). Is this short enough for pocket carry or would you recommend using the included pouch?

Are any pocket clips available for it?
