I have both F and FM type. The F type is more compact as the FM is a bit bigger, not much but bigger.

It's made of tough plastic and it clamps down. There is a rubber basket between the plastic and light on the inside of the unit. I like the FM type because much more sturdy. I think the only difference is that it's much more rugged. Look on Page 16 for a good look at both.

if possible try out a P61 and compare it with a P60 lamp before deciding whether to get it....its subjective so some people might prefer the P61 whilst others prefer the P60. personally, i don't think the reduced runtime is worth the extra brightness, as the P60 is already very bright.
