LOL, on first glance it looked like a HID bulb and i got excited, but turns out the emitters are placed in weird places with little access to heatsinking. Not good for 5 XML outputwise.

It could just be an optical illusion from the photograph making it look as if the emitter is in a non-heatsinked location.

:drool:Wow, I guess 5 XM-L emitters give more than 3000 lumes.

Very interesting light.

This has all the makings of being a sensational light if it lives up to its promise.

I'll be interested to find out whether the central "flood" XM-L can be used independently of the the 4 "throw" XM-Ls which would of course hugely increase the versatility.

Great, I was really hoping this would have a charging port! That's a lot of batteries to shuffle in and out.

Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse brevity and typos.

I took this to mean that it does have a charging port. Otherwise it would seem silly to say that the charging port is water resistant, if there is no charging port.

It does have a charging port on the tailcap. Spark wanted a waterproof rechargeable unit so instead of that rubber cover thing they went with this which has an O-ring to seal it in.

It's MANLY....I wonder what the manly price tag will be? I bet this could be a $500+ light which would put it out of my price range.
