Well, new to me. I got my Spy005 today from Coloradogps (thanks Robert). There were a couple of surprises. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be (either that or I've got huge hands ). It was also a lot easier to use. This one has the proto HA-NAT body and was modded by Milkyspit. It is really well made and shows no wear. I really like this light, it's a keeper.
Here are some pictures. I hope you like them. :naughty:
Now, I just hope I don't catch titanium fever. (I do feel a chill coming on)

I even took the battery cover off and got it to go back with no problems.
Here are some pictures with friends for size comparison.

You need a Spy007! :tinfoil:

Re: "New" Spy 005

Enjoy your 005, Coach. Now it's winter down here, I find myself wearing jeans most days and my 005, with its slim profile, is perfect for loose pocket carry.

I'm not sure about you but my 005 is holding off the 007 temptations for the moment :tinfoil:.

It has the latest circuitry (6 levels), a smooth reflector and an SCP4 USWOH IMS2cut. He also put the "Spy Rubbers" on the head and knob to protect the finish.

The anodized knob and reflector look wicked:thumbsup:. I like that a lot. :faint:

They are not anodized, they have little rubber covers on them. I think Scott said they are shrink rap, but they do look cool.

Sorry, my mistake. End result is still very cool:twothumbs. Almost as cool as the 007:poke::D.

Very nice collection you have there, obviously a man with extremely good taste in lights :)
Norm

I like the rubbers, I think I should get a Spy 005 since I have 2 Spy 007's. I haven't seen any come available for sometime. I really like the looks of yours:thumbsup:.

I'd remove those rubber things. The shiny head and knob on a standard Spy are very beautiful.

Nice light. i like the rib pattern on yours:thumbsup:

Mine's HA Nat that shows up black in the pictures too:sigh:

Milky said the switch and the head are polished, but unplated aluminum and he wanted to keep them nice. I thought about taking them off, but I like them that way.
I like the rib pattern too. Is that not standard? The clip looks nice on your light, now I know what those two holes are for. :D

Most of the 005's did not have the ribs in the "soap dish". Some of them did, I think mostly from the first run. I don't remember the exact numbers. There are some long and detailed old threads about the Spy development process, that you might enjoy reading. I think they're all here in the Cool Fall forum now.

Note nice, but quick pictures.

You can see the difference from a light from the first run and one with the ribs.
First and second and.. run, also the ti and da ones, have a serial number.

Lights from the Scratch & Dent sale do not have serial numbers.
And 5 of these 14 lights do have these ribs.

The sales tread is here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=175747

But also can be one of these ??, have a look at the first pictures

Here you can see your light, it`s Nr. 22

But you can ask Dave. Think he will know this best.

Hope, that was correct so.
