New Style KL1 in SM/GM?

When the original KL1s came out they were only advertised in HA but a special run was made in SG/GM. I bought two of them and I'm wondering if anyone has heard about the new style KL1s being similarily offered? I'll call SF but sometimes the brainiacs here know things that the SF staff doesn't!

Not that I don't want to see the KL1 in Satin Gray (-SG) because I do. However, I doubt we'll see it released. Not any time soon anyway.

Actually, a Dealer could place an order for them. I would have thought the Dealer would want to be certain of selling them since I assume there is quite a high minimum order quantity for such things.
Certainly more than CPF Members would buy I'm sure.

It would be more sensible to get the E1L or E2L made in -SG finish. But if its going to be a special order why not another colour such as orange or blue etc?

I would take the KL1 or KL4 in all of the above.....PURPLE too...just like Al's A2 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I wish it were possible.. You have to remember that Surefire will always keep its promise of the Supreme lights. To somehow color the metal would weaken it's durability or that of the color. You could, Im sure, heat the light up and use color powder to fuse it to the light... I want to see someone do that!!!

It's been done before. The E2e-SG is a type 2 anodized finish, which can be done in a rainbow of colors. PK did one in orange with black splashes I recall - more than good enough.

Besides, are you going to subject such a limited run special light to field use? That's what HA3 is for, my L4-SG will be an indoors-use light only /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
