I've been eying that generic SSC P4 3D cell light you've got. Is there any chance you could post a few pics showing it's insides? I'd like to see how they mounted the LED and driver, as well as the switch assembly. I wanna see how easy it would be to mod.

:welcome: Watch out for the higher end lights because despite their higher prices they can really suck you in once you lay your hands on them. I think your collection might need some small single cell (AA or CR123) lights.:thumbsup:

Here are a couple I just dug out:
That Inova is one with the very focused glass lense that produces a very narrow, very round spot:
Rudimentary machining quality but it gets the job done. I don't think there are any heat problems with the design.
Collins Dynamics Magnum
I use that one when I am tired of it being night and want it to turn into day again!
Also, I got some new collapsible LED lanterns recently:
They are good for inside tents.

Maybe a P7. I have one on order from DX. I might just go with a good SSC LED and a new driver.
I'm just assuming the light won't have a good, high current driver based on my experiences with other eBay lights, but I could be pleasantly surprised.
I like side clickie lights, so I may go ahead and get one of these.

My 12 volt spotlight has a 100 watt bulb too, and is very much like yours, I have the Brinkmann Max Million III. I love using it to light up huge 1/2 mile fields, far away trees, high rise buildings, etc.

If you are switching to the P7, you might want to see what driver or resistor the light uses. Also make sure that there is enough heatsinking.

So I just got a LumaPower LM33 and a Zebralight H30-Q5.
(I like the small ones to be floody).
