I'm a fan of CR2 lights and my favorite is the F&L J1 aka Ultrafire WF-606B. Well, it seems that these lights are no longer available, having been replaced by the Ultrafire WF-606B1. I purchased a couple of these from KaiDomain and it's changed a bit.
The bad: It now has a plastic reflector instead of a solid aluminum one. I think this may cut down on the ability to transfer heat, but in practical use I don't see that as being much of a problem. The LED isn't exactly being overdriven.
The lights came unlubricated and on one the driver needed to be tightened down, both easily remedied.
The good: The light is now using a Cree P4 instead of a Luxeon III.
The reflector is now an OP. Between this and the upgrade to a Cree, the 606B1 has a nicer beam with a brighter, whiter hotspot and more spill.
The light still comes with an extender tube for use with 2xAAs.
The older lights I have are natural HA III, the new one is also natural but I can't tell if it's type II or type III anodized. Either way, the fit and finish is very good for a light in this price range.
One thing, the light is listed as WF-606B on the KaiDomain website but has WF-606B1 printed on the barrel.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the update.
