After much work, I am pleased to announce the launch of http://www.lasersreviewed.com

The site is self explanatory, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Stay tuned for more reviews and additional features.

Interesting reviews, I have been considering making a purchase from Wicked. But someone on this forum told me to check out laserpointerforums.com first. I feel that you should have made some disclaimers on the site about purchasing from WL/TL. Apparently, they are one of the biggest scamming businesses in online history, and your reviews are just misleading more "innocent" and "uneducated" customers' wallets into the hands of Steve. Why aren't there any reviews of innovative and honest companies like Laserglow and Dragonlasers

Good questions.

I do not consider WL/TL a scam. I have bought many lasers (2x cores, 2x 15mW, 2x 95mW) from them and I only had a mode issue with the 95mW, which was sent back and upgraded for free. Scamming claims come from angry members who were banned from forums for not complying with rules and regulations.

This is all I am going to say about WL and TL. If you wish to pursue the claims of scamming, please PM me and I can fill you in.

Laserglow, Dragonlasers, and Novalasers reviews will be coming shortly.

Yes, and even more to the point, it is people EXPERIENCES with the companies that an individual review of an individual laser cannot help much with.

One might imagine, that any company sending out a laser it KNOWS in advance is to be reviewed, will make pretty sure thay are sending out extra good ones. The only way to really sample the product is for blind reviews of stuff bought by 'ordinary' customers without the company knowing in advance that a review is to be posted.

Not to say however, that this new site won't be useful.

You are meaning to say that WL/TL are not scams?? What about all the stuff I read on laserpointerforums.com, ppl say that WL is just a stupid scam company.

Dear Laser Enthusiasts,

With the public launch now online, I have received much feedback. I thank you for your input. It seems there is a common thread among the feedback received, enthusiasts desire a tougher review.

I now plan to "re-review" the products to an extremely tough and stringent manner. The original reviews will stay up, but in addition to the current reviews, they will be reviews taken to the MAX. Each unit will be carefully scrutinized and the results will be posted.

And, to answer a lot of questions regarding power output at the laboratory, I have not been able to get the results yet. Coordinating with the university schedule is a difficult thing to do, so please be patient. They are coming.

If you have any additional feedback, feel free to email me.

Thankyou for your support,
Ryan

I still think you used Nero's pictures on your website LOL! Same props and lighting.

Nice review site...I bought one of their lasers, too bad it's not the one you reviewed. It would have been nice to see some lab test results.

Hope you get more lasers to review so we can see more comparisons... Good luck with your site. :twothumbs

Are you going to review a Sonar (~405nm Blu-ray laser) from Wicked?
If so, I'd really like to see how you feel about this laser. :)

I'm working on it. I would love to play with a laser in the 405nm range due to its florescence capabilities. It is a definite possibility.

No...those are not Nero's pics...they would be better if they were.

Which laser are you speaking of? It looks like I'm going to be sending these units off to a third party to get tested. The laboratory is pretty busy for the next few weeks and I'm getting anxious. The tougher reviews will be out soon for the current review units.

More lasers are coming, as well as a few giveaways. I'll keep ya guys posted.
