I just changed out the battery for the first time and the light has reverted to flashing "digits" for battery level whenever I turn the light off. Before, it was flashing a single color to display battery state of charge like on the version 2 table posted earlier in this thread. I do not how how or if I set it to flash a color instead of digits but I want it do flash the color. I see the color chart on the programming doc but there is nothing to tell me how get it back to that mode? I really hope I will not have to do this every time I change out the battery?

I dont understand. My Aluminium TS10 only flashes the digits for battery level if I do 3C from off. Is that what you mean?

Im confused by your comment. My TS10 does not flash battery state in single color.

Changing batteries does not change how my TS10 behaves. I dont understand what mode your light is in.

Suggest you do a Factory Reset. Let me know what the light does after turning off, and what you want to change from there.

Are you using the battery that Wurkkos sells for the light. I ask because some batteries are longer, which is not helpful.

Have you read the Manual yet? Is your light in Simple Mode or Advanced mode?

I also have an Aluminum version. It does not have this feature. The Ti is a V2 and has the capability of displaying the battery state of charge "color" that is shown and described in the upper right of the user guide that you posted right below the "Anduril 2" data info module. It looks like a battery charge indicator with rainbow colors. I did not set this up when I got the light, it came that way. Every time I turned off the light, the steady single state of charge color would display for about 2 seconds. It started at the royal blue and then as state of charge was reduced over a few days, it changed to cyan a few days later after more use and then just began turning green when I decided to remove the battery to charge it. I see no instructions for setting this up. It lost this programmed function when I removed the battery for charging. FYI, I am not in Lockout Mode and have read the manual you linked but see nothing on this.

Every time I turn it off now it flashes an alternating blue/magenta about 5 times, sort of matching the "Disco" description and then stays on a steady Low Cyan as I have programmed. It is not flashing battery state of charge ex: 4 blinks, then 1 blink for 4.1V. I did a factory reset and reset low Cyan as the standby color. All of that works and programs as depicted on the flow table.

I'm guessing here. I think when battery Voltage is high, 4.1 or greater, when I turn off the light, I get a solid blue and a flashing magenta maybe trying to look like Purple which is the color for a full state of charge. I ran the state of charge down a bit and now it is displaying a steady blue, one notch down from full according to the color chart. I also found the place in the manual where it describes this feature. I missed it before.
  • 7H: Next aux LED color.

On most lights, the colors follow this sequence:

  • Red
  • Yellow (Red+Green)
  • Green
  • Cyan (Green+Blue)
  • Blue
  • Purple (Blue+Red)
  • White (Red+Green+Blue)
  • Disco (fast random colors)
  • Rainbow (cycles through all colors in order)
  • Voltage (uses color to display battery charge)

You are very welcome;-)

I understand better now, thank for clarifying that you were asking about the Titanium model.

yes it displays colors for battery level, and there can be inbetween color mixing

and yes, the voltage display for a few seconds after off is one of the features, separate from the Aux color choice

glad you are getting it sorted out now

fwiw, the voltage display after off can change as the battery rests, plus the voltage display can be a different color than the Aux color it reverts to after the few seconds of Voltage display after off

I find all the voltage colors changing after the battery rests, a bit confusing. Plus the few seconds after off showing Voltage is a separate feature than the 7C selection for Voltage display.

the voltage after off can be changed from a few seconds to completely off using the command in the large green box on this chart.. separate from the 7C color, that can also be Voltage display, in the small green box

congrats on figuring out how to change Aux display color using 7C..
The after Off Voltage display can definitely be confusing because the Voltage color does change as the battery drains. And the voltage color also changes after the battery rests. I turn off the after Off Voltage display, and only use the 7C Aux setting for Voltage.. Even then the colors will change.. its a bit overwhelming tbh.. sometimes I just turn Aux off completely..

when I want to know voltage, I use 3C from Off and count the flashes. I dont trust the Voltage colors of the Aux, they just confuse me.

The person that created Anduril is a Disco Rave DJ for the LGBTQ community in the Bay Area (literally, not a joke). They are into all sorts of blinking and flashing colors and strobes.. Im not. My Disco days are ancient history, and I dont go to Raves.. I also dont use Anduril Candle mode, nor Lightning storm, nor Sunset mode.. There are a gazillion aux features and blinkies I ignore.

I actually really like seeing my batt voltage every time I turn the light off. If I had realized the Blue with Magenta was trying to display Purple/Battery Full, I would not have had to do all this posting. It kicked in when I suddenly realized that I never saw Purple when I put in a fresh battery. duh! And I missed that I can turn this feature off. But no, I like it. Thanks again!

I agree Voltage color display is a useful feature, once we get past the confusion of multiple color displays. Glad you figured out how it works, and that it is useful for you.

fwiw
Another light I use, that has Voltage Aux Color display is the Emisar D2. I like pairing it with a TS10 because they can share batteries. (The D2 needs shorter batteries than the TS10, but both lights work on the very short Vapcel F12 flat top)

I actually cut the tailspring on my D2 to be shorter, so now it also works w the stock TS10 battery and also w the USB rechargeable 14500 batteries from Lumintop, Skilhunt, and Acebeam...

another option instead of cutting the D2 spring is to use a 0.6mm shim at the D2 tailcap but it means the tailcap O ring on the D2 will be visible..

My D2 w cut spring can use all these batteries now:

color blind
dont know anyone like that but, color vision is not required
3C from off will blink out the battery voltage ;-)

plus there are other clues to low battery
Anduril will step down the output as the battery gets low,
and will shut off below 2.7V

correct,
they skipped the (Shiny) Raw Ti

1. They are offering BeadBlasted Ti again, same as the first batch.

2. Plus they have added Copper head to Ti Body (Im not sure if the body is Raw or BeadBlast, it might be Raw)

3. Plus they have added Blue anodised Ti

All three of these Titanium lights have RGB Aux

The Aluminium TS10 have single color Aux.

disclaim
there are pros and cons to Ti, it is Bling, but also heavier than Aluminium, and the Ti has lower sustainable output, because of the poor thermal characteristics of Titanium.

fwiw
I do not use Turbo on any of my TS10 lights, I dont expect them to hold 1000 lumens.. . despite the emphasis on Turbo in marketing materials and some misguided consumers minds.

I personally prefer to EDC the Aluminum models for their lower weight and better thermal characteristics.. otoh.. The totally impractical TiCu just has some sort of Je Ne Sais Quoi that gives me FOMO.. lol

here is a runtime chart from Turbo, from this thread, thanks to Emissary_of_Light on Reddit:
ljtLoFV-2.png

the green line is Ti, sustaining just 75 lumens. Suprisingly, copper also falls to that level by 2.5 minutes of runtime.. ime, Aluminium will sustain about 250 High CRI lumens (more than an HDS). The big suprise is that Brass holds higher output, for the first 3 minutes.

Rational Me says I dont Need a TiTS10..
(who am I kidding.. Rational has little to do with some of my behaviors.. Emotional seems to predominate)

So, I ordered a CuTiTS10 4000K from the Wurkkos site ($4 cheaper than the Amazon option).. ;-)

Cheap thrills.. where else can you get a triple LED, High CRI, Titanium light with RGB Aux for $33, battery included? I deserve it.. lol
