I will have accumulated 4 TS-10's when my 2 Blues arrive. I'd like to give one or two away to good non flashlight/battery technical friends but them having to remove the Lithium battery and manually recharge it gives me concern. Anyone conquer this issue? Is there a very reliable, 2-independent slot 14500 cell only charger out there?

This is what I use at work. It’s just a simple 2 bay charger that gets the job done.

When I give a TS10 to a new user, I include the 1 bay charger that Wurkkos sells. It fits in the original box. You can get a similar charger from Illumn

Another option is this Lumintop 14500 battery w built in USB charging and a USB-A to USB-C cable. (same type of cable as used to charge an Android phone). I have that battery, and I confirm it fits and works in the TS10.

Before I gift a TS10, I lower the ceiling to 110/150 in Simple mode.. I also lower the ceiling in Advanced mode to 120/150, and I disable Turbo. I can help you learn to make those changes.. the first step is to read the manual

Just an FYI. I purchased some of the Lumintop 14500 batts you linked above and waited an eternity for them to arrive on U.S. shores. Then waited another 4 days or so and when I looked at my U.S. Post Office informed delivery, I saw the big red note that said "U.S. Post Office has confiscated this package because of counterfeit postage". Attempting to get them to refund my purchase before I do a Paypal dispute.

"U.S. Post Office has confiscated this package because of counterfeit postage"
wow, that seems really frustrating
first time Ive heard of that excuse from USPS
(I dont really believe them, but whatever)
sorry for your aggravating experience

suggest you start a paypal dispute, although I dont think you should actually file the dispute yet. When you start the dispute process, Paypal will give you an email contact for the seller, suggest you use that email to request the refund from the seller.. before actually filing a dispute

afaik, the email that paypal provides is more responsive than some customer service channels, but if you dont get a prompt reply, I would escalate to actually file the dispute, for "Product Not Received" within the next couple of days.

kind of sucks for the seller that USPS is claiming the postage is fake.. since the seller has now had their product confiscated.. but you deserve a refund, regardless

Lumintoplighting is a legit seller, there is no reason I know of, why they would actually use fake postage

When I bought my TS10, I clicked on the option to get two Keeppower 14500 cells. Light and cells arrived with no issues. Even got a free plastic battery case for the cells. Though can't recall if I ordered from Banggood or AliExpress. I know it had to be one of those two sites.

Well, the batts arrived today loaded inside some cheap flashlights with a note on the plastic bag indicating the batts were inside the lights. All is good. I still don't get it though with the confiscation message on my USPS tracking site.

imo, management imposes rules that the carrier has to justify a delivery delay

its all complicated by budget and overtime restrictions, so when a carrier is unable to deliver, they are required to pick an option from a list of preset choices, that are not actually correct

Im glad your package arrived safely. I hope the batteries were worth the wait..

how long did tracking say it took for the order to reach USA, and how long after that did you receive it?

chart makes no sense
is this the chart you mean?:

I think the 25m, is meters, not minutes.
Anyway, I do not recommend relying on the paper numbers.. fwiw, I set the ceiling on my CuTi TS10 to level 100/150, which on my meter gives 393 lumens (I also raise the thermal ceiling to 55C), but even so, the output will drift down as the light warms up...

I suggest you not waste your time trying to use the paperwork to predict output and runtime.. it will just create confusion. The only way to really know, is to have your own Lumens measuring tool.. second best would be to rely on data from zeroair reviews, but keep in mind that the data for the Aluminum model is not the same as on the Titanium models, which use different ramp spacing.. The Ti models use different firmware than the Aluminium models, because the firmware was changed to address the RGB Aux. And in the process of updating the firmware for RGB, the ramp spacing was also changed. This is not accounted for in the paperwork for the Ti model, which uses the same values as for the Aluminium model.

Another change w the Ti model is the Advanced ceiling was set to level 150/150 by mistake. I strongly encourage you to lower the advanced ceiling to level 100, on the Ti model.

Congrats on your new light, I hope you enjoy it ;-)
(did you buy All Ti, or Ti + Copper head?)

I just picked up one of the aluminum models and along with the incredible UI, decent tint, form factor, included charger, permanent amber secondary and beam pattern, such an incredible bargain package of a light.

When it first arrived and worked great right away, I never bothered to check the battery, which I can tell now after its first full charge, was quite low. Working with it, seemed an okay light for around the house tasks, but now that it is charged, lots of output.

And any time you’re curious on the battery level, in advanced mode, click three times when off. It’ll blink out the voltage of the cell

incredible UI
so glad you like it, I feel the same way

fwiw, there are 2 default settings I recommend changing. To make the changes the light must be in Advanced mode.

By default the light arrives in Simple Mode. To go to Advanced Mode, do 10H from Off. (H means Hold the 10th clic, the light will give a confirmation flash).

If after making the programming changes, you want to go back to Simple Mode, the command is 10C from Off.

1. The default Aux brightness (while unlocked) is set to High. Because High Brightness Aux will drain the battery in less than a week, I recommend changing Aux to Low Brightness (do 7C from Off).

2. Simple mode ceiling is set to 150/150 (equal to Turbo). I recommend changing it to level 120. When the light is in ceiling programming mode, this can be done with 3 long presses (do 1H three separate times, a long press is a shortcut for 10 clics.)

Here is a flowchart of all the programming options, the green boxes mark the Aux light and Ceiling options..
Ea5Ijhz-1.png

Simple mode uses the same floor and ceiling levels, for both Smooth Ramp and Stepped Ramp.

Advanced mode uses separate floor and ceiling levels for Smooth or Stepped.. To change a floor or ceiling in Advanced, first switch to either Smooth or Stepped ramping (3C from On changes Ramp style)

btw, the Aux setting when locked is set to blinking by default, I find this useful to be able to tell if the light is locked.. Do NOT use physical lockout, because pressing the button will erase any changed preferences.

The light can be locked by 4C, and unlocked w 4C to On, or unlock w 3C to Off
And any time you're curious on the battery level, in advanced mode, click three times when off. It'll blink out the voltage of the cell
true,

and fwiw, 3C from Off in Simple Mode also gives Voltage readout. The difference is that it only does it once and then shuts itself off.

otoh, from Advanced, battery Voltage readout will keep repeating, until clicked off.

I use that difference to help me check whether my light is in Simple or Advanced.
