Did anybody compared or could recommend what to buy between the almost impossible to find Brinkmann Legend LX and the Streamlight Scorpion?

I own both, and I think the Brinkmann Legend LX is a better light in several respects, except for size. The LX is longer, with an oversize head. But: 1)Cost is 40 to 50% less than the Scorpion. 2)Looks nice, and polished aluminum is easier to find in the dark than dull black. 3)Mainly, I like that the LX is unlikely to get turned on by mistake; it has a stiff tail clickie switch that is quite stiff. It's easy to get used to, except perhaps if you are wearing mittens(!). I had my Scorpion get turned on in my jacket pocket twice, both times discovered before any lens melting, etc., but I quit carrying it because of that single feature, and soon I got my first SureFire, and haven't used the Scorpion since. But if size is a factor, the Brinkmann really loses. I think the plusses outweigh the minuses for the LX, FWIW. It's too big to fit into anything but cargo pants pockets, but I intend to carry mine in jacket/coat/parka pocket during the Minnesota Ice Age (November through mid April). In the spring, I likely won't carry it, except perhaps in my car.
If you want the best, the SureFire E2 really is the best. It's smaller than The Scorpion, and much smaller than the Legend LX. Light output is essentially the same. But both these lights are substantially more expensive than the legend LX. For $20, you get the same amount of light as the Scorpion, the SF E2, and the SF 6P (or any 6 volt SF, with a regular lamp, for that matter)
I guess I'm lucky, because the Galyan's near me has them in stock; 11 after I bought a second one today (Christmas gift) . Not a single Walmart anywhere near me (Twin Cities)has (had) one, according to my extensive driving and telephoning campaign.
I didn't try to 'order' one from Walmart, as Galyan's has them, at least for the time being.
Good luck in your choice.
If money is a factor, may I suggest the Undewater Kinetics 2L as an alternative. It costs about $25, uses 2 123 lithium cells, but has a 3 to 4 hour burn time. It has a fairly nice smooth polished reflector pre-focused spot, that is about as bright as a stock 4 D cell Maglite. And, it's smaller than any other 2 123 cell light. it only has a twist on head switch, but I've found them to be extremely tough and reliable. Light output isn't as bright as the Scorpion, Legend LX, or Surefire 6 volt, but it has a good beam that I've found very functional. It's small enough to fit into your jeans pocket, and as it's all plastic, you won't worry about a nice finish getting all scratched up. I have one that's nearly 10 years old, and has seen much hard use. The lettering on mine is nearly completely worn off. I've gone through several lamps, which cost about $6.50.
If I had to choose only one between the Scorpion, SureFire E2, SureFire 6P, Legend LX, or the UK 2L, (All of which I am fortunate enough to own) I'd pick the Underwater Kinetics 2L in a second, for it's size, weight, cost, reliability, and burntime.
Check out
brightguy.com
for the UK2L Other websites may have it for a little less, but brightguy stocks lamps for virtually all their flashlights; I like ordering a spare lamp with any new flashlights I buy/.
