Longtime lurker, sometime searcher, bit intimidated, just drank the Koolaid & signed up! No interest in becoming a flashoholic. I'm a member of ~25-30 forums ranging from Porsche engine swaps to experimental aircraft. Y'all are by FAR the most technically oriented, tossing around terms & abbreviations that'll take years for me to appreciate. So, thanks in advance for your patience.
I'm a low-end Surefire owner (E1E, G2, G2L, P6L) and have waded the Kiddie Pool end of this forum only enough to know some intel on Malkoff & Cree LED drop-in options, etc. I've even searched CPF looking for an answer to this question, but I get quickly buried in techo-alternatives.
*Who makes & where to buy the best remote (8-10" curly cord) pressure switch for a G2L...that isn't $urefire priced? No airsoft wanna-be, bargain basement $8 stuff. I want as good as I can buy for ~$25-30. The minute I think I've found one, somebody (more knowledgable than I) chimes-in to say "that's JUNK! Buy THIS!" & I'm back to square-one. Any:help:?

:welcome:

For the record, the curly remote cables generate significant resistance compared to SureFire remote cables. I've seen user side-by-side runtime 'test' results that show a real-world decrease in runtime.
From what I recall the wire also tends to be thinner and less able to handle current.
This and the durability/liability issues of curly cables means that SureFire do not offer them for their WeaponLights having invented replacement dedicated forend WeaponLight for shotguns so there are no exposed wires.

I'm not aware of much (if any) 'serious/respected' use of curly remote cables on firearm mounted lights which explains the wide-spread lack of product not-aimed at the airsoft crowd.

Your question may gather more targeted response if re-worded something like: "Curly cable remote switches for SureFires?"
Please let us know if you would like your thread title changed.

Best regards,
Al
