Newby Question?

Hi everyone, Just joined (This is one cool Website BTW.) This may be a stupid question but Im learning. Why are Surefire lights so much more than alot of others? I have quite a few brands and don't see much difference in quality. Are we paying for the name? And don't get me wrong I like Surefire.

Surefire is great quality. My one S.F. light resides in my B.O.B. full-time. For me the ability to not run Li-Ion cells in them prevents me from buying more.

Surefire lights are *reliable.* And... if you did have a problem, they would send you a new part to make your light new again. I have lots of other brands and have modified some lights. I love 'em all.
