The 8X and 4X are very close in light output. You would think the 8X would be about twice as bright, but it is about 10% brighter then the 4X. The 8X is built much more solidly though, it is amazingly thick.

Anyone out there own a Nightblaster 8x? I have the 4x and while it's built like a tank, it isn't all that bright. Was just wondering how bright it's big brother is?? Also, does anyone know why the cap is made of something not as strong as the light body which is aluminum? Again, thanks!
