Nightcore D10 headband

i use the zebralight headband. the zebra in front, when i need more trow i put my d10 on the side, so i got 2 lamps in my headband. works like a charm.

I have got this few days ago and impressions when using with L2T 2AA Fenix are very positive:
pros:
- top fixtures are sufficient for longer (i.e. 2AA) flashlight, I guess you could use it with compact 18560s
- for side fixtures I would recommend a shorter flashlight - 1AA etc.
- there is a reflecting 3M piece in the back, which is nice

the relative
- there is a "Nitecore" graffito all over the headband, so it kinda looks like some free advertising stuff, rather than serious gear. Beside that, I dont like the yellow color, no matter how practical it is
- although it is very space-saving, it takes about the same space as H50/H30

Thanks for the feedback. I do hate the branding of stuff as well.
A question remains:
What do you mean with sufficient? Sufficient strong to hold the 2AA?
Or: Do you need the length of a 2AA to get the light off your head?

I have one of those Nitecore headbands too.

i use my ET P100a2 mounted on the top. theres 2 rings provided for the top mount and with both rings secured on the light and the bands tightened up a bit, worked quite well honestly.

i also found out a method to make it into a bike handlebar mount, which also works quite nicely, as mention my thread.

I, for one, thinks that the huge Nitecore words around it is kinda cool, graffiti-ish 😀

I personally love this headband! Worth every bit of that $7.50 you pay. Very versatile, and it doesn't look bad when it is on you. I highly recommend it. I went on a whim when buying it, and was glad I did.

I like the looks of this. Any glare from the sides as this is often the case with my Jakstrap. I wonder how the high setup on the top of the head works in the field. Guessing it might have less glare than the side. The Nitecore all over the headband looks cheesy but might increase viability if dropped on the trail.

There are two elastic rings that can be moved freely backward-forward.

It is sufficient to hold 2AA comfortably unless you are running. For running you might need to fix the head strap very tightly. But that is more about the flashlight weight than the headband itself.

Can you tell me if you can put a Cr123 size light in it like a E2L or E1B?

It is meant for a Nitecore D10. there are Cr123 lights that are just as big, and even bigger (Ra). It is a snug fit for the D10, but it is elastic, so I do not see why it wouldn't a variety of lights... I mean just don't go off thinking that you can fit a Maglite 3D flashlight on it lol

So in layman's terms, most AA-AAx2, Cr123 lights, and flashlights around that size. You should be fine.

Have you tried to fit a AAA light in the elastic band, such as a Fenix LOD or E01? Or is it too big (the band I mean)?

I just tried it right now with my LF2XT. It works. Obviously not as snug as the D10, but I tried shaking my head to see if it loosened up, nothing. When the band is on your head, it adds to the hold. Just to play it safe, I placed the light clip down and had no problems.

For lights like the L0D and the LD01, I am not sure, since Fenix really does not use any knurling on their lights, or clips for added support for that matter. Maybe put some grip tape around these lights just to be safe. That should do the trick! :naughty:

Thanks for that reply.

I often use my LOD in my Nite-ize headlight for reading in the tent, with it's lower low. I believe Woods Walker may be right about less glare with the top of the head band set-up with this Nightcore headband. I'd like to try that.

Plus, this headband comes at a good price, with no shipping charges, from a top notch vendor-4sevens.
