Howdy folks,
I've just got my Nighthawk Phoenix working again (broken wire at the battery lead out) and it's a pretty weak light. Since I bought it, I've gotten into modern LED flashlights (Dereelight CL1H, Fenix EO & EO1 plus a bunch of no name neat LED and incan lights and now the Nighthawk is pretty anemic.

Anyone got an upgrade using some of the stuff that came with it, like battery, helmet mount, wiring and like that? Or is the mod to toss it an start over?

Thanks,
Pat

I think I have a Performance version of that Nighthawk. I'm probably going to re-use the batteries and the mounts on a light mod. Possibly a P7, or a triple Cree in a cutdown Mag.

The one I have has a 6V Ni-MH battery pack that's hardly been used. With the connectors and switches available from BatterySpace, including some Nighthawk connectors, I think it's more than doable.

Unfortunately, being as the light housings themselves are all plastic, they wouldn't make good candidates for an MR-11 conversion kit like Cutter sells.

Also consider putting your current arsenal of lights to work. The TwoFish CycleBlock can handle small and mid-sized lights. The TwoFish LockBlocks are good for small lights. Among other things, you'd be able to easily vary your light setup to suit your ride (power, runtime, weight, etc).

Hi, I have upgraded my cygolite hallogen, I suppose that your light will are seem to upgrade...
