When I was really into photography I used mainly Nikon gear. It started with a D80 kit that came with an 18-135 lens that I took about 60k photos with in the first year. Then it was upgraded to a D700 for a while. One day on my lunch break at work I bought a D7000 and used that one the most. I had a few nice lenses, some computer driven, some not.

Then one day I just lost interest in lugging around a back pack full of gear and went back to using a 10x digi-cam.

sony is already washed up..
Ummmm…… the Sony A7 series is "the" mirror less full frame camera. I'm not sure how the best is washed up? I'd like to hear how that opinion was based.
That being said, I have a Nikon L35AF and it's a great little point and shoot rangefinder. I use it all the time

Yup. I have a D850, D500, and some decent glass (500mm PF, 105mm f1.4E, Sigma 40mm f1.4 Art.)

No interest in switching to mirrorless at this time. My gear is severe overkill already.

Singe someone mentioned Canon and Fuji in a Nikon thread. I am a Pentax user, the Underdog in DSLR photography. Guess it is not worth opening a Pentax thread, guess here are not that much Pentax users...

Btw. I am using Pentax Kp, K3III and K1II...

At all good to see there are still People that are using a camera and not the Smartphone for taking pictures.

I noticed they use Nikon gear on the tv show NCIS. Usually stock lens and stock flash, which tells me they end up with blurry pictures with lots of blinkys. I set mine to show blown out bright spots by blinking on the viewfinder. I call the blown out areas "blinkys".

My wife prefers Canon gear.
