Nite-Ize 1w PR bulb...?

I bought 2 from Dorcy when they were on sale for $8 shipped. I tried one in my Rayovac 2D Industrial and one in my PT TEC20. In both cases they were not quite as bright and did not have as good of beam quality as the original SMJLEDs I bought here on CPF.

Still, not a bad upgrade for a PR based light. They also will operate on 2-6 cells where the SMJLED is 2 cell only.

I have two of the Nite-Ize units. Both failed the color test - too greenish for me. Others might have more luck. I thought the Dorcy's were the same as the Craftsman? The design is a bit different from the Nite-Ize, at least mine. I do have one or two Craftsman replacements. Those I have had more luck with - more white. Still open to the Nite-Ize if others chime in on color.

A review of a older Nite Ize Mag C&D Bulb http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/niteize_magbulb.htm had it as a dim but with long flat run time.
