I swapped emitter in my D20 today, first from the stock led to a 3A then to a WH bin. It worked fine with the stock LED and with the 3A, but now with the WH the light wont turn off completely. When switched off, the led stays on at about 50% of low. I checked all the connections making sure nothing was shorted, and even tried another WH but it does the same thing. I can only figure that I got a batch of extremely low vf Crees, and the minimal current going through the driver on standby is lighting it up. Or maybe I messed up the driver somehow? Any ideas? I guess I could just put another bin in there, but I really like the WHs I got. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If you can, try the 3A again. If it doesn't stay on, then It's probably the WH bin. You probably already did this, but test for continuity across the LED, and look for extra solder blobs that may have escaped.
