Nitecore e4k problems

This is my first time posting here.. since I can't find a lot of information about the e4k.
So i just bought it about a couple of months ago and it already pooped out on me. The light could only stay on for a short period of time and i cant access low/med/turbo.
I contacted nitecore service but the shipping cost there is almost the same price as the torch, so i thought it wouldn't be wise to do that. I used the original cell, cleaned the contact points but to no avail.
what do you guys think is the problem here???

Welcome to CPF!

I would first rule out any issue with the cell. I have the E4K, and I also have normal unprotected cells with spring professionally soldered on the positive end by a professional person. Try another cell.

Also, try to see what the readout looks like when you put the factory cell in a smart charger that can handle its length. And/or test the cell with a multimeter.

i tried everything and it doesn't work :'(
so i just went ahead and bought a sofirn instead . But thanks for all the tips tho
