I've been away from lights for a while, but I think I've just created my Holy Grail of EDC lights. :twothumbs
It's a Brass Peak Carribean that functions like a Nitecore EX10.
video showing normal operation of EX10 Pill inside the peak. high, low, ramping, shortcuts..etc (momentary works too, just unscrew the peak head slightly)

How it works: instead of a piston, the momentary switch simply pushes the
battery forward. There is a plastic retainer when pushed in by the battery,
engages the ring on the ex10 pill to control the functions of the light
(on/off/ramping/shortcuts etc.. unscrewing the head allows ex10 momentary
functions and further unscrewing for lock out). i'll let the pics explain...
mmmmm, a well used classic Brass Peak Carribean w/momentary switch
front end: reversed bezel(hides the notches for a clean look), McR-16s reflector, seoul T1 high cri neutral led, EX10 glass lens, gitd oring.
peak's momentary switch
exploded view: instead of a piston, the momentary switch simply pushes the
battery forward. The plastic retainer when pushed in by the battery, engages
the ring on the ex10 pill to control the functions of the light(on/off/ramping/
shortcuts etc.. unscrewing the head allows ex10 momentary functions and
further for lock out.
pushing the battery forward into the plastic spacer. the plastic spacer
contacts the ex10's control ring.
momentary tail switch..added a steel rod for length. size accordingly to allow
twisty head to screw down and operate in a normal range.
McR-16s and AR coated glass lens
pill shot sitting halfway down the carribean head
some random spring
plastic sleeve
shows how the plastic sleeve pushes against ex10 control ring - spring
moves independant of plastic ring. long spring ensures light always has power
except when head is unscrewed enough for lockout mode.
Bored out carribean head.
Beamshot on low, gotta love the incan like tint of the High Cri Neutral Seouls (T1 Bin)
size shot compared to my primary edc kit. (also a high cri seoul modded ex10)
Ti caribiner is cpf Data's droid-58..
