It seems that the Nitecore Extreme is appreciate by a lot of people, here is some shapes possible to have various battery sources and differentes length and grip :
I put the nitecore between a Jet 2 ibs and a Novatac 120 p to direct size comparaison

First original body , cr123 , rcr123 don't fit in mine

e2e body , 17670 battery

Vital gear vb2 , 17670 battery

e1e , cr123 or rcr123
DSC00315.jpg

Aleph 1x123 power pack , Aleph McTC , cr123 , rcr123

and a Maxlite aa body , 14500 battery

The 17670 offer longest runtimes , Maxlite aa body the better grip in a good lenght , and the Aleph 1x123 power pack give a perfect color match with extreme head.

Hope that could help someone to choose what he prefer.

It looks fantasics on the Maxlite body. How does it run on the 14500? Nice pics...

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

I really like the looks of it on the maxlite body as well!

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

run very well on aw's 14500 750mAh , runtime must be similar to rcr123 .

the length of the AA Maxlite is perfect and the shape is amazing.

total length tailcap + body + extreme head is 11.8 cm tip to tip.

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

Wowww .... the Maxlite/Nitecore combo is SEXY

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

Is this photoshop, or do the threads match for the different bodies.

I'm not familiar with the Maxlite, but it looks cool. Is it plastic or metal? Hard to tell from the picture.

Any pointers on where I could find one?

I currently run my NE head on a VG FB1 or FB2 body depending on clothing and what size/runtime I want. I love on either of the VG bodies: much better than the stock body, in my opinion.

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

No photoshop (or at least it doesn't need to be) since the NE head is e-series compatible.

The Nitecore Extreme + Maxlite body does look really nice. The Vital gear body looks to be a decent fit too but not as nice as the Maxlite.

The Maxlite is AA powered metal(Aluminum) light Made by ArcMania. There have been a few versions of the light. I think the first one used a Luxeon 1 and the current one uses a Seoul P4(I think, haven't checked). Light hound had them.

That Maxlite combo is sweet!

All I need is for someone to make a 2aa version of that body
That would be awesome.

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

Why does your NCE have a face?
And why does it look so surprised? :eek:oo:

All flashlights have a soul (at least going by the love people show them here). Sometimes the soul shows its face.

This poor soul is not so much surprised as scared that its head is about to be ripped off

Re: Nitecore Extreme head on differents bodies

orcinus : now i see his face , it look like a man who said " i'm your father " in a movie

cranshaw : yes it 's slighty long , maybe around 1/32 inch , you can see the red o'ring between the head and the body , fully tighten.
maybe just rub on a sandpaper.

edit: i reduce the gap with sandpaper , now it's just less than 1/64e , same between body and tailcap.

pipspeak : yes he know he will loose his head ....:)
