Apparently, they designed the regulator circuit to better mimic the discharge curve of NiMH batteries at somewhat higher midpoint voltage (around 1.35-1.4 V). This could be useful for devices that have battery charge indicators. With fully regulated cells, the indicators show full until fully discharged and then suddenly drop.
 
How many brands have a 1.5v Li-ion?

XTAR has A and AA, said to put out some RF noise that might interfere with a battery powered radio.


I wish they would make these in C and D size.
