No Burst Mode on Arc4

Hello @all
Wow, what a newbie I am - my first post🙂

I just bought an Arc4 here in Switzerland and have a question related to the burst mode.
According to the various posts in this forum I understand that after entering Level1 and keeping the button pressed the light should become even a tad brighter(level 0) by entering the burst mode.
In my case with fresh Duracell Batteries actually nothing happens (not brighter, no blinking, etc).

Did anyone else encounter this "problem"?
Do I probably have an Arc4 second?

There is nothing wrong with your light. If you are already at level 1, pressing the switch should produce no additional light.

That's normal. You must see old information. IIRC, there was the burst mode in some pre-production models (and maybe the very old production model), but now the level 1 = the burst mode.

Actually, I did see a kind of the burst mode in my Arc4 that has the very initial software, but it disappeared after the software upgrade.

Thanks, I was not aware of the upgrades!
The Arc4 simulator does still have this feature though...
