I was searching through the garage today and stumbled on an old unlabeled box. unsure what was inside I was shocked to find these...
The GI crimp neck still has all the little filters.
As I was opening these things up... they sparked all kinds of fond, warm memories of camping trips night-time hikes etc where I'd use both of these regularly, well maybe not the spot light so much, that has always been more of a novelty. But I came to the somewhat disturbing realization. I HAVE BEEN A FLASHAHAULIC ALL ALONG... decades before the forums even existed!!. Both these lights are almost 20 years old (I think), and they both still work. Although the crimp-neck needs some work. They were a christmas gift from my brother 15-20 years ago!!!
Tonights going to be fun, I'm taking my son out and we are going to play around with the spot-light.
