Noob question on 2 cell recharge cr123

i own a CPF VB 16 (3w) and a Nuwai 3 level (5w) light. both use 2 cr123 cells.

i would like to purchase a SINGLE rechargeable LI ion cell to replace the 2 primaries. is there a long cell like this? i think this is the safer way to go than using 2 recharge li-ion cells. less chance of "venting".

if so, could you point me in the right direction for it and a corresponding charger?

There are many other options that others can give.
One 17670 is the equivalent size as 2 CR123's I believe. The benefit in using one 17670 compared to 2 CR123's is greater runtime.
