I need some help. I am looking at a 2C M@g mod. I want to run a Q5 from one or two18650. DX seems to be completely out of drivers

At least the ones that do not have 45 modes and 38 strobes. also I have heard that KD takes for ever to ship. I know both are a crap shoot as far as quality. I have heard some good things also.
I want to have pretty flat regulation, and drive this thing at 1A or slightly higher.
I also had a thought

...and it hurt. anyway, what would be the problems/benefits of stacking a 16350 under my 18650 I have the holder and the room in this flashlight.
Do I need to look at the S.S. for this regulator? If so, will one of the under$ 20.00 models do the job? I really don't want to spend the price for the Shark series.

Thanks,
Paul

Don't know much else but the 17340s are an bad idea mismatched cells normally equate to venting with flames.

Hmmmm ... I'm no expert, so hopefully a more senior member will chime in :D
For 2 li-ion cells I would use a SOB1000 board
For 1 li-ion cell I would use a GD1000 board
Both available from the Shoppe

To run 2 x 18650 in a 2C Mag, you have to mod the tailcap or get one
of Download's MagRing2 kits

Running two different size li-ion cells is definitely NOT A GOOD IDEA

Okay, everyone agrees DO NOT MIX CELLS, got it:thumbsup:. I do thank you for your advice on the drivers I will look at them closer.
