Unfortunately, yes. I can't remember what thread it's in, but a CPFer emailed NT asking about the new lower priced models. NT said they were being made overseas.

This has been posted before but...

Re: NovaTac New Models *New Pics*

Looks like some fancy colours out. The online programming is probably just a tutorial or something hosted online.

The Classic (2xAA) model looks sweet! :thumbsup:

Are they exactly the same of the US made Novatacs ? Those overseas models are much cheaper...

Are we going to be able to play lego and put the 2aa body on the 123 body?
Does it take li-ion?

:poke::poke:
Where's the 1AA model?
:(

That 2AA looks sweet, I've wanted a novatac for my EDC since I read about the programmable settings. However I do not C123's here or there, I don't like them anywhere. I've EDC'd a fenix L2T, I find it to be barely small enough to EDC(beside my wallet)
that 2AA version looks significantly wider though.

cool looking lights but I'm still holding out for 1xAA.
EDIT: anybody know what the emitters are?

I really cant imagine that some of the Novatac's were produced overseas.
There were some models with really bad quality...:candle: . And this is why i hope, that the newer models, came back to the older finishes and quality.
