"Young Electronics Group has a brand new line of white LEDs based on the latest non-YAG (yttrium aluminium garnet) phosphor technology.

The company reckons the new range of white LEDs will deliver superior performance in many different illumination applications and lead to a growth of LED market worldwide.
Iric Yodts, Business Development Manager at Young's, commented: 'Customers have now realised that it is paramount to source cheaper white LEDs which do not infringe on the patents of the market leader Nichia'.

'Our new partner has combined a proprietary non-YAG phosphor with the brightest blue chip on the market to produce in excess of 11cd in a 5mm LED and 140 lumen in a 5W LED...."

Competition is good.
