Hi Sector7

I will put you on the interest list, it is going to be a solid 2 weeks for the 3 level, I checked today and they are being made but then they have to be shipped and although I am having them shipped EMS it will take a few days.

I will have 5 level hopefully late this week as they have shipped.

They only P7 I have right now is one level

Thanks

Dave

Hi opgarlic

I will get this out tomorrow. Tower module is sold by AW and is a drop in style module that has an led on a long that fits up inside the KT turbo style heads and the bottom of the module holds the driver and contacts and such.

I have a K2TFFC now running @ a little less than 1.5 amps. They are are neutral white and I am amazed at the hotspot. It has absolutely no spill or rings. At ten feet I doubt the hot spot is much bigger than 6 inches and reaches out a long ways.
I have a Diamond Dragon mounted and am trying to get a driver running at 2 amps which will be even brighter.

Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

Does the DD fit up through the aperture in the turbohead?

Hi Donn

It just does fit up through the head. I had to cut the contacts off almost even with led and make sure the led was centered just right. The corners may hang over a small mm but I wrapped a piece of capton tape even with the contacts holding the wires and everything tight and making it look neat and tidy. I just have to get the current where I want it.
The DD specs at 1.5 amps but if you can get a driver to fit it overdrives well at 2 amps.

I know. I have a few different hard-driven DD on the way to me now. I should get some Aleph LEs today, with one driven by enhanced Flupic, and a burst of 2A. The other is dual SOB917, for a hair over 1.8A. Can't wait to see what they look like in the various Aleph reflectors.

What do you charge for the DD Tower mod? Have you looked at doubling up 1A drivers?

I think that you are going to like them Donn, I put one in the same small host that saberwolf has been selling and put one in it using the stock driver which basically goes direct drive with a 16340 and pulls about 1.4 amp which is spec for it and it is bright as heck for a litle light. I can imagine what it will do at 2 amps, one thing it will do at 1.4 so I am sure it will at 2 is get warm. What I like the most is how smooth the beam is.

I am going to try a flupic this afternoon or tomorrow morinig, I soldered a couple up yesterday but I am not as confident with those small components like Will is.

I have not figured a cost yet, I will figure out cost and a few bucks for time. I will give you a PM when I get to where I am satisfied.

Dave, just curious if you are adding any names to the interest list. I would be looking for a neutral P7 and 3 modes. Also, would the module have a memory mode?

Please let me know if I can be added to the list.

I don't do PM, so please email me:

The Aleph LEs arrived, and so far I've tried them in Aleph 1, 3, 19, Mule and a Long 27 head with an McR27XR. All but Aleph 1 are gorgeous, and I think if I fiddle with the A1 a little, I'll get it right. I just need to get the emitter a little higher into the reflector.

Hi RGB_LED

sure I will add you to the list. The three mode will probably be two weeks they are in production, five mode this week.
Until I get the three mode I don't know if it will be memory or like the 5 mode which is sequential. I did not think to ask for that just three mode.

The way the five mode works seem to be if I remember since I sold all of them is that it usually goes to the next forward mode, so if on low it would be on med. next time. If I remember right.

Thanks

Dave

I forgot to edit that Donn, I will email you.

I had a feeling you would like the DD when you got them, I have had a good time putting them in several lights.

Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

My MC-E arrived today so well packed that it could have survived a gorilla baggage handler! I dropped it into a SF 6PL and it is REALLY bright and REALLY warm in tint. Lots of flood and virtually no artifacts in the beam.

I couldn't wait to get out tonight after it got dark and to say I am pleased would be an understatement. Great product from a great guy with which to do business.

Thanks to one Dave from another Dave.
