Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

Hi RGB_LED
sure I will add you to the list. The three mode will probably be two weeks they are in production, five mode this week.
Until I get the three mode I don't know if it will be memory or like the 5 mode which is sequential. I did not think to ask for that just three mode.
The way the five mode works seem to be if I remember since I sold all of them is that it usually goes to the next forward mode, so if on low it would be on med. next time. If I remember right.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks Dave. I appreciate you adding me to the list and I'll wait for your confirmation re: memory.

A couple of questions...
- Your OP mentioned that you had neutral and cool P7's... I prefer neutral. Are you expecting neutral, cool or both?
- Your OP also mentions that the driver pulls close to 3A @ 6v... I will be running it exclusively on 3.7v 18650's / RCR123's - do you have the measured amps on either of these? My apologies if you've already answered it but I couldn't find the post that confirms this.

Looking forward to picking up one of these puppies!

Neutral is not a problem, I have neutral & Cool.

HI RGB

I have checked this morning, I am sorry to say that it will not have mode memory, I would have had to get the driver built from scratch instead of modified and the lead time was unrealistic. So they are sequential which as I said would mean if on low before it would be on med next time sorry.
All that said when it gets here it may be different but I would not count on it being other than sequential.

here is the chart posted on the driver.
4.1 3.3
4.0 3
3.9 2.9
3.8 2.7
3.7 2.3
3.6 2

I checked one I built which was a one level up and using a single single li ion checked @ the tail it was 2.92 and was quite bright.

Dave

I never received a PM ????

I probably screwed up and forgot to hit send I will go back and look,

sorry bullittproof.

Ok, I'm in. My birthday is this weekend and I should be getting some cash. I want to go with a P7 (for my SF 6P) for better throw with the three levels of light output. I know you are waiting for boards so timing is good.

Thanks Dave

If the single mode P7 is still up for sale I´ll take it.

Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

Well all I have to say is I am hooked! My MC-E drop arrived today. To say
that I am happy is an understatement. This light is very, very bright!!!!
Thank you very much Dave. I am sure that this is not the last one I
will buy.

Regards William
One more thing I am sure when I start showing my new light off. I will
be asked how many Lumens does it produce. Does anyone know a ball Park
figure? I am using a C2 Centurion with 2 cr123 on direct drive one level?

Hi William yours was real bright because the board was for was the contacts only so no overhead. It was pulling a bit over 3 amps on new batts so it will be bright. I tried it with a new 18500 imr and it worked good on one cell also.
I don't know how bright they really are, you can look at the specs but that is at the led and there is a difference between at the led and out the end. It is bright that is for sure.
A member in Germany wrote me today and said he was using a 6P now with that drop in for traffic stops because it lights up the whole car. LOL

It sounds like the single mode MC-E dropins are still available right? If so, I'll take one!

Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

Mine is very warm compared to the Dereelight pill at 2.4a Would say it is not quite as bright on one 18650. I did run two RC123's but it smelt of cordite after a minute so i stopped. Very warm and i would say about 350-400 lumen with my Dereelight at 600.

Re: Now a couple MC-E's /SSC P7 Drop in for any P60 style SF product

Any warm white led will have less lumens than neutral or cool, if you look at the specs they will be close to 100 lumens less. I have all bins when specified. These are 4000k warm whites (640 Lumen), neutral run around 6500k and cool whites 10,000k(Mbin 840lumen).
If you are looking for maximum throw then warm white is not the way to go, cool white will give the most lumen as you can see above.

I have all three bins available, these folks here like the warm whites because of the color retention at night.

Everyone please be careful I have specified these can use 2XCR123 but not RCR 123 or 16340 time two will burn the board up.

thanks

Dave

Yes i love the warm colour and would not swap Lumens for loss of colour. It is brighter on two CR123's but I only had a couple so run 18650's for now. Love it.

just got mine! thanks! taking it out fishing tonight. lit up with a 4.1v trustfire 2500mah 18650 and its very bright and incan like. great lamp! also backed the pill out from the reflector and the very slight donut disappears. the donut will probably only be noticable on white walls. thanks again nailbender.
