<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">John,

I've gotten almost all of my Ripoffs from a local dealer who owns a one-of-a-kind store and doesn't ship.

Ripoffs (Reeline) makes great products but it is almost impossible to find a retail source that carries their complete line. Their site will list and describe all their holsters by size and/or by the specific products they will accommodate, but it is a real b**ch to find a less popular model online. Filmtools is one of the better sources, and I have a few other sources stored on my home computer which I can't access from the remote computer on which I'm typing this. I should be back home fairly soon and will try to remember.

I requested a catalog from them and they sent a number of individual full color sheets showing selected models, along with a full listing of their products. They also sent a list of dealers, some of whom are not online and many of whom stock a limited selection.

It is extremely frustrating when a manufacturer produces first rate products, doesn't sell them directly or online, and distributes them to a variety of hard to find retailers who stock only a limited selection.

I suggest you call Filmtools and request the beltloop model. If you call Reeline they most likely won't be able to tell you who stocks what.

As Flashaholics we are fortunate to have access to a wonderful group of involved dealers who do their very best to accommodate us. As we have all discovered, this is not so common in other areas

I just got their catalog and it lists all the stores that sell Ripoffs's products. Just tell me the state and city. Hows the durability of the nylon vs padded? I think im going to get the BL version since John says it bites into his sides.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">FNG,

I have that same catalog, and I prefer online ordering becuse it's usually fast and hassle-free. There is a store here that can order what I want, and if I have to I'll use that as a backup. So far I haven't had much luck finding an online store that carries what I want.

By-the-by: I carry my Streamlight Scorpion at work in a nylon holder made for an Underwater Kinetics 4AA. Fits quite nicely after you've "molded" the holder a bit. And it has a snap closure for the flap, a big plus if you get annoyed at the tearing sound of Velcro...

(Well, actually, I carry my Leatherman in a pouch with Velcro closure and that doesn't bother me... OTOH the Velcro on my new cell phone pouch does annoy me. Guess I'm just weird?

) Vertical carry only, though, with a belt loop. Can't remember if it was an original UK pouch or after-market, but just thought I'd point out that possibility too.

If anyone likes a double, the CO 86 Ripoff is very handy. In the large pocket, you can carry any of the SF 6V or 9V lights except the E series, includeing the 8X family. It'll also carry the Stinger, the PT40, mini Q40, TAC Triad, DB 4AAA, and probably a bunch more. The small pocket will carry most all multi tools, the SF E2 series, Rage, X5 & X5T, Scorpion, ARC LS AA, and a bunch more of that size light. It is deffinately a versitile holster. BG has it for about $14. TX

Re: Nylon pouch for Scorpion - First impressions o

Brightnorm,

Do I get the impression you claim one of the Surefire nylon holsters fits the M2? If so, which one and how well?

Thanks,

-john
