I ordered some tube stock acrylic to try the concept with. It's too brittle. I'm still searching for reasonably priced tube/bushing stock made from acetyl or nylon or polypropylene or polyethylene and just can't seem to find it.

Do you have any 8-AA to 2-D It is to be used in the old type maglite, I have 2 8-AA to -2-d battery holders from the sandwich shopp. i do not know who made them, but they are not made good enough to last as long as I plan to use them. they drop in with a bit of room to spare, the old maglite is bigger then the newer one's and do not need to be cut..I can measure the inside DIA before placing the order if you make them. F.M makes a very good battery adapter, but I can not find out the Diameter of his, and he clames that it will not fit unless the tube is bored out. I think he is mistaken and all that needs to be done to see if measure it. .I would have already bought several of them if he gave me the size. the old maglite has 36.5 MM ID by the tail cap end, the new maglite is 34.85 mm ID. the 4-AA battery pack with 8 enloops at its widest point measured 32.75 mm the FM battery ;pack 6-AA to 2-D with batteries at it's widest point was 32.25 mm , according to my calipers,which are old and may be off a bit. but the 8-AA fit into the new 2-D maglite , but it was a tight fit also a cheap adapter. If anyone Mdocod or fivemega has a 8-AA to 2- d that is no wider then 33 to 34 mm with batteries it will fit fine and I wish to get one for now and more later.. IF mdocod makes a 8-AA to 2- D please reply with the cost and measurements Thank you for your time and I see your work and it looks fine, I hope to se it up close and personal . keep up the fine work, you have been out there for a long time and we know that you are good at what you do.. also i wish 2010 to be a very good year for you. P.S if you do not make a *-AA to 2- D do you know how I can find how wide FM's *-AA ada[pter is ?
