What appeared to be a 10 minute mod spawned into two hours. The Space Needle instructions didn't help too much. Where was I SUPPOSED to solder the two LED leads? I ended up with the neg on the side spring and the pos on the TINY little contact where the PR bulb was supposed to go. Then, during soldering, due to a break in the tip, solder wouldn't flow nicely. Point to point wiring is DIFFICULT when you haven't done it in a while. All worked out..beautiful spot, though the beam is ok

Congrats, it the results that counts.
Two hours is not that bad. It took me over 2.5 hrs for measely 10 lumens (guestimate) on my Solitaire. And I love every lumen of it.

The stranded teflon jacketed silver core wire (only stuff in the house and my dad's an audio geek) was STIFF, so it was a b**** to stuff into the mag

shoulda used the broken bulb trick. positive goes to the bottom of the bulb, neg is soldered to the sides of the bulb.
