Ok, so I now have an Amondotech and a Thor.

Eventually I'm going to be tempted to transfer the HID guts from the Amondotech into the Thor body. What difference can I expect to see from moving the HID bulb from the Amondotech to the larger Thor reflector?

If you want a humongous reflector'd HID why not just buy one of the Harborfreight lights?

I agree with Paulr. I think you will be downgrading yourself. The AI has a very nice reflector even though it is a bit smaller. Just buy the HF in addition to what you have.

What happened to the spirit of modding here? Besides, that would cost me another $130.

Just my opinion but modding is usually done to improve something. IMHO, this would not be an improvement. But that's just me. Although, I understand the want/need to do something like this for the fun of it.

The beam of the amondotech is one of the nicest most useful spotlight beams around. I would recommend buying an automotive HID conversion kit on ebay for the thor and leave the amondotech alone.

thank you for info I am new to this but think I will just convert my thor and lieave other one a lone does it matter what brand or car its for long as it 35 watts or higher lol that way will still have one working lol
